Truphone, VoIP on Nokia, Blackberry and iPhone

Filed under: Mobile Phone, Nokia, Technology, Truphone, iPhone — admin @ 10:30 pm

Truphone is an application similar to Fringe which allows us to make VoIP calls via our mobile phone. It installs as a native application on the smartphone and is compatible with Nokia, Blackberry and iPhone.

Unlike Fringe, which we set ourselves for Skype, SIP or Google Talk, Truphone allows us to buy directly call minutes. Furthermore, calls between Truphone users are free.

Truphone tariffs are very simple: 6 U.S. cents for calls to fixed, mobile and 30 cents to 20 cents. to send SMS messages (but currently can only be sent from mobile Nokia).

To install Truphone on Nokia (compatible with recent models) or Blackberry to have access to the official website. In the case of the iPhone we can find for free on the App Store. Remember that it’s free and only pay when you make calls to traditional numbers.

¡Update! When you install Truphone, you will need to make an account, which you will need to enter your phone number, email and a PIN. Then comes a call from an unknown number. We will have to enter our PIN again to confirm our account.
