Google has released an update to its unexpected Google Maps.

One of its strengths is the reduction in energy consumption. Among other things thanks to the improved method of tracking the location in Google Latitude, which so far consumed large amount of battery.

Also thanks to Transit Utility Navigation, still in beta, lets you use the vehicle speed to bring our location in case of GPS signal loss.

Other improvements are an increase of the route options for public transit directions 3 and 4 and the feedback report to Google from the setup menu.

Google has also included its first interior maps, these maps of the campus, home to the CES 2012 and within other buildings of Las Vegas.

The version of the Google operating system, Android 3.1 Honeycomb is a version especially suited for tablets, which improves the performance of them. But now, we await the release of Android 3.2 Honeycomb, the version to be the successor to the former.

Among the innovations that are expected, will be to include support for touch screen 7-inch Qualcomm chips, performance improvements, bug fixes and upgrades of applications and widgets.

Apparently, the developers are not happy with Android Honeycomb, therefore, this release will be the last to leave the market before the departure of Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0, scheduled for this summer. It appears that the tablets begin to receive the upgrade to 3.2 Honeycomb Android in the coming weeks.

After introducing the Nokia N9 with Meego and creating high expectations, has appeared online with a new terminal and Meegan quite similar operating system. It is called Nokia N950 and Nokia seems to accompany the N9 in the adventure of the new system. At first glance it looks the same terminal as the N9, but betrays its QWERTY keyboard make it a wider phone. Another difference is that the N950 does not have Carl Zeiss lens on your camera, at least there is no reference in the area of the camera. Indeed, there are no details to clarify anything about this terminal, or its market, price or future. Some rumors say it could be a prototype for developers and may not see the light in the market. The fact is that we know of the existence of another terminal Meego.

And how could it be otherwise, it should be emphasized over other news regarding these two figures of today, this time in a different way and with surprises.

Thanks to an application called Alien Dalvik, whose developers belong to the company Myriad, we have witnessed as Android becomes part of the inside of a Nokia N9, and that the software allows application ejecucción. Apk Android in the terminal Nokia.

Obviously not all applications may be present in Android Meego. But we can migrate all we can and change some of its parameters for proper operation due to Dalvik Alien SDK. So, now you can say, it is possible to run Android applications on the Nokia N9, all thanks to Alien Dalvik.
