Security Update for Android Market

Filed under: Android Market,Google,Mobile Phone,Nokia,Operators,Technology — admin @ 7:35 pm

As we discussed a few days ago, Google dropped 21 applications for the Android Market by malware ie malicious software. These applications had already been discharged and had affected some 50,000 terminals.

For this very reason, Google has updated his blog with new measures against the software that affected them and terminals accessing private data users. Thus, the measures taken are:

1 º) Remove these applications Android Market to suspend the accounts of the developers and put in the hands of the appropriate department.

2 º) to provide an update to Android Market for users who have been affected. To do this, you will receive an e-mail these days with the following notification: Android Market Security Tool March 2011. It will be an update that is performed automatically for the terminal, while eliminating harmful applications. After this, you will receive another email informing of the deletion.

Besides all this, Google reports that from now on will work harder for this situation is not repeated.

Android, the Google Mobile Platform

Google has not wanted to stay out of the mobile telephony market and will enter the sector in a big way with its new platform for mobile phones called Android.Android is a free mobile platform based course! Linux will be available to any developer to improve the operating system and modify or create new applications. This should take note and Apple to allow third party applications for the iPhone.

To bring the project to the market, Google and other big businesses have allied under the Open Handset Alliance, composed of companies such as LG, Motorola, Qualcomm, eBay, HTC and operators like T-Mobile. Although we will not see the platform running well into 2008, the Open Handset Alliance will release an SDK for developers on November 12.

All this makes the current market for mobile telephony changed completely with Android and the iPhone will make a strong trend in the market. To see how you react to Microsoft Windows Mobile or Symbian Nokia to this new platform. And the truth is that it seems to have ensured the success with companies like Google behind it.
