Google has released an update to its unexpected Google Maps.

One of its strengths is the reduction in energy consumption. Among other things thanks to the improved method of tracking the location in Google Latitude, which so far consumed large amount of battery.

Also thanks to Transit Utility Navigation, still in beta, lets you use the vehicle speed to bring our location in case of GPS signal loss.

Other improvements are an increase of the route options for public transit directions 3 and 4 and the feedback report to Google from the setup menu.

Google has also included its first interior maps, these maps of the campus, home to the CES 2012 and within other buildings of Las Vegas.
